Skip this one there are better TD games out there. It's a pity because the graphics are pretty, and the music somewhat catchy. You can do your best, but Jelly Defense tries in so many ways to limit your ability, much like surviving a barehanded fight with a tiger in the dark.a laser-shooting tiger at that. I do my fair share of difficult games, but this one just isn't fun or exciting most gamers will quit out of sheer frustration. Expect to try each level about 5-10 times before passing it you literally need to know beforehand what kind of creeps are coming in each wave so you can pre-empt them. Slow peashooters too, while the creeps skirt past like cheetahs.Īll in all, you need to build the right tower in the right hole with the right upgrades at the right time, before you can just scrape by the level. Most TD games have an emphasis on tower upgrades in Jelly Defense, you are expected to have upgraded towers from the get go, or else have your towers to do minimal damage like peashooters. In addition, the routes are predefined and hardly overlap, with paths so wide, the creeps can be ambling right by without the tower detecting them. Just think of all those anti-air levels you hate in tower defence games, multiplied many times. In Jelly Defense, enemies are either blue or red, so only half your towers are firing in any 1 wave.
It's almost like there is a "Most difficult and frustrating TD game" award they are hell-bent on winning. Jelly Defense clearly falls into the latter category, with the developers trying so hard to kick sand into your face. And the difference? Challenging games demand progressive improvement of skills, while giving every opportunity to succeed the unfair ones require pigs to fly. Hard games fall into 2 categories: the challenging, and then there's the unfair.
